Sometimes it can be so hard to know what is causing your acne, and therefore what the best products are to use to fix it! Don't worry bestie, we are here to help.

What causes acne?

As we know, acne is caused by a number of variables, however the following are some of the main ones:

  1. Excess oil (sebum) production
  2. Hair follicles clogged by oil and dead skin cells
  3. Bacteria
  4. Inflammation

Plus we are often all dealing with other triggers of acne that don't make things any better...

Things like stress, masks and not to mention those beloved hormones at that time of the month!

Now, down to the reason you are here, which is probably that you are experiencing regular breakouts, pimples won’t stop living on your face rent free and you are having a mental breakdown because of it! Well we really hope we can brighten up your day and bring you the solution you have been looking for... but first it's important to understand what makes our treatment different and figure out if it is the right solve for you!

What is different about our acne cream?

We like to compare our acne hack cream to Travis Barker. And if we are Travis Barker, that means that all of your other topical treatments on the market (such as the salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide based ones are Scott Disick (apologies if you are not a Kardashians's fan). What Scott Disick couldn't do in 11 years, Travis did in 10 months ;) ... and that is just how we like to think of our acne hack cream!

Jokes, and Kardashian analogies aside, what makes our acne hack cream different, is that it has a patented technology within it that can break down what is known as 'biofilm' in your skin. The technology has been developed by a medical research and development company and has been clinically trialed against salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide treatments.

But first, is it important to understand the role that biofilm plays in the development of acne.

Biofilms are basically colonies of bacteria that attached to each other via a slimy glue-like substance known as the EPS layer. This layer forms a protective shield around the colony of bacteria and protects them from attack. The majority of topical treatments on the market cannot target bacteria that live within these structures because they are unable to break through the EPS layer! This is what the patented technology in our acne hack cream does! And that means we are able to target very hard to reach C.acnes bacteria, and prevent the recolonisation of the biofilm at the same time.

So basically, if you are experiencing regular breakouts, especially the inflamed type that are sore and sit underneath the skin, then you might have a bacterial problem at the root of your acne. This is where our acne hack cream really shines!

Here are some before and afters from our beautiful customers who have experienced the effectiveness of our acne hack cream first hand!

So where does this acne treatment sit in my skincare routine?

The acne hack cream can be used as either a spot treatment or a full-face treatment depending on the severity and frequency of your breakouts. We recommended starting small and building up so that your skin has time to adjust to the new treatment product when you first start using it. You can do this by using it every second night, or just using at a spot treatment to start, before applying as a full face treatment.

This product should be applied after cleansing and before the application of a serum or moisturiser. Leave the acne hack cream to soak into the skin for at least 5 minutes before applying products over the top! It has also been clinically proven to work better when used once a day, so take this into consideration besties!
